BEN HUR
I tried to do a post about the book I am reading, Ben Hur, but the last time I tried I was unable to as apparently someone else is using my dashboard - without my permission.
I am actually really very annoyed. I did quite a long post, talking about the book I am enjoying, but some creepy spoilsport has decided to do creepy things on my dashboard and my post got destroyed.
I am too tired to do another post about Ben Hur now, as its getting too late and I want to get off the computer now. But its a really good book, better than the films that have been made of it. I am reading it via my kindle, which is lovely as I can do my knitting while I am listening to it.

I don't know, but I tried to post my new blog post and I couldn't, and a message came up from Google saying that someone else was using it. I wish I could remember the wording of the message. So I had to close down the computer and start again. I am not a computer technician, so its hard for me to know exactly what is going on, but I have never given permission for anyone else to access my Google account, so I am very angry about what happened.
I'm making some gloves for a friend, I already made the hat, now I am doing gloves to match. Knitting is relaxing for me, because I get very stressed out and pannicky, and knitting helps me to calm down
I get pannicky because of all the wierd things that are going on, the child abuse cover up. It's actually very frightening to be in the middle of a big child abuse cover up, because you are supposed to be able to trust organisations like the police and the NHS, and when you find that they have conspired to cover up serious criminal acts and deliberatly subjected you to treatment with the objective of shutting you up instead of helping you, well, it's very very frightening.
But Christians are supposed to have perfect trust in the Lord and not be frightened. My mind knows that, but my body doesn't seem to be able to take it in, and I get terrible panic attacks. But knitting and making things with my hands helps me a lot.
Ben Hur starts off with the three wise men, who travelled a long way to see Jesus as a baby. The book starts off a bit like Lawrence of Arabia, that film with Peter O Toole3 in it, and I wonder if the people who did the film were influenced by this book? Anyway, it makes you think about who these wise men were, and why they travelled a long distance following a star, and took very expensive gifts for a little baby. I am enjoying this book very much.
The Lord said to rest in Him, to keep calm in the middle of the storm. I always like that story in the book of Daniel where the three friends of Daniel are put into a fiery furnice, and they are seen walking about in it, with another man, who looks like an angel. Then, the king lets them come out, and their cloths aren't even singed, but the bad ones who made them be put in to kill them are themselves shoved in, and they get burnt up straight away. I also like it when Peter walked on the water, but as he lost faith he began to sink, and had to reach out for the Lord again. I know all the Bible stories are there for a good reason, they are relevant to what is going on. The Lord has allowed mankind to weave a complex tapestry, and only he can see the full pattern, we only see a part. But I am not very good at staying calm in the middle of the storm.
